  Made of zinc steel material, the Manfrotto 016 Broncolor Adapter 5/8" Female to 15/32" Male with 3/8"-16" Screw slips over and locks onto a standard 5/8" stud. The entire adapter is 3.9" long, and ends in a 1/4"-20 threaded tip. The shaft is 15/32" in diameter and is approximately 2.25" long. It adapts to a Broncolor flash head, or any other lighting equipment that requires a smaller stud.
